Product Description:
The KX-TAW848 is a brand new wireless hybrid PBX system from Panasonic. The system uses Secure Digital flash cards to backup and restore programs and for feature enhancements. Each Cell Station (KX-TDA0141), when connected to the KX-TAW848, can support all 28 portable stations. The Cell Stations, maximum four per system, can be placed in strategic places so that coverage area can be increased and dead spots can be eliminated. The handsets will automatically select the Cell Station with the strongest signal of the ones it's programmed to allowing a fluent and mobile workplace.
The KX-TAW848 main unit is initially configured with 4 hybrid extension ports and 4 loop start CO ports (1 LCOT card). The phone system is expandable to 8 COs and 24 wired extension ports (28 by parallel connecting 4 analog stations to the hybrid card) and 28 wireless handsets.

The KX-TAW848’s modular design allows you to tailor the system to meet your specific requirements. The KX-TAW848 combines versatile wired telephone system features with the expanded functionality of advanced multi-cell wireless technology to meet the needs of today’s upscale residential, SOHO and small business environments. Similar to the popular KX-TA624 system, the KX-TAW848 allows connectivity with the KX-T7700 series of proprietary wired telephones, single-line devices and voice mail integration. However, the KX-TAW848 is unique relative to its KX-TA624 sibling in that it is not only a traditionally wired PBX system, but it also has the option of adding a complete Multi-Cell Wireless phone system.
This dynamic addition provides a new level of clear wireless system communications with expanded area coverage unheard of in a system of this size and price.In terms of capacity, this system can be configured with a maximum of 8 CO lines and up to 24 wired and 28 wireless telephones. The system also supports single line telephones (SLT) and 4 doorphones/openers. This system offers a modular design combined with PC programming making installation fast and simple. Additional system maintenance chores are a breeze and can be performed off premises by the installer with the optional remote card.
